What is it?
Biomimetic dentistry is a dental approach that aims to preserve and restore teeth using techniques and materials that mimic the natural structure and function of the tooth. Unlike traditional dentistry, which often involves extensive drilling and the use of metals or other non-natural materials, biomimetic dentistry focuses on minimally invasive procedures and the use of biocompatible materials.
The goal is to maintain as much of the natural tooth structure as possible, reduce the need for future dental work, and promote the tooth’s natural healing processes. This approach leads to more durable and esthetically pleasing results, closely replicating the original strength and appearance of natural teeth.
